Vancouver is the third largest city in Canada, and has been consistently voted one of the most ‘liveable’ cities in the world.

Host to the 2010 Winter Olympics and Paralympics, its Whistler ski resort is regarded as one of the best ski resorts in the world.

Vancouver is an extraordinary city where metropolitan buzz meets beautiful landscapes
and adventure.

It has one of the largest city parks in North America, Stanley Park.

Campus

Our Vancouver summer school is located at the University of British Columbia.

UBC is currently ranked 22nd in the world university rankings due to its combined quality of teaching, living and facilities.

The campus is situated around 20 minutes from central Vancouver.

UBC has its own beach, botanical gardens, Japanese gardens, and national forest, Pacific Spirit National Park.

The campus also has an onsite cinema, museum, hospital, dentists, police station, fire station, and all the amenities you could possibly need.

Furthermore, it is the only summer school location to offer family apartment accommodation, and optional adult ESL classes.

Superb Activity/Excursion Program

As well as an exceptional campus, we also offer an unbeatable activity programme, which

For students/groups staying for 4 weeks, we have the added bonus of 3 days in Tofino (on Vancouver Island) – considered the most beautiful place in British Columbia.

English Classes

The same standards are set for our Vancouver centre, as with all of our UK centres:

• Students receive 30 hours of English classes per 2-week course.
• ESL teachers meet British Council UK guidelines, and have been chosen for their qualification, commitment, attitude and communicative ability.
• Vancouver has a Director of Studies (DoS) who manages the teachers and guarantees that the syllabus is maintained.
• All DoS’s are English language professionals, recruited for their higher qualifications, extensive experience and suitability to managing large vacation programmes
• Vancouver has a syllabus and materials that ensure that students learn about topics that are interesting for them and relevant to their lives.
• The syllabus is tied to the European Union’s Common European Framework.
