Why Vancouver?

One of the world's great cities.
And your child gets to learn English here.

Vancouver is consistently rated one of the most livable cities on earth. Safe, multicultural, English-speaking, and surrounded by extraordinary nature. For a child learning English, there is no better classroom.

Why Vancouver is one of the best cities in the world to learn English.

#1

Among the world's most livable cities

The Economist Intelligence Unit and Mercer consistently rank Vancouver in the global top 5 for quality of life.

~50%

Of residents speak a language other than English at home

Genuinely multicultural. Your child won't feel out of place — but everyone they meet still speaks English.

250km

Of cycling paths and seawall within the city

An extraordinarily walkable, outdoor city. Our camps use that — field trips happen across Vancouver every week.

8–22°C

Typical summer temperature range

Warm but not hot. Almost no humidity. The best weather in Canada for outdoor learning.

Safety

Parents bring their children here from 30 countries. There's a reason.

Vancouver is one of the safest major cities in North America. The neighbourhoods where our camps run — Kitsilano and Burnaby (Deer Lake) — are family-friendly and walkable.

Our camps maintain a 1:5 staff-to-student ratio on all field trips. Every camp manager holds specialised first aid certification. We have operated camps in Vancouver for 14 years.

The city as classroom

Every week, Vancouver is part of the lesson.

We don't take children to Vancouver landmarks as a reward — we take them there because that's where the learning happens. English is practised in context, in real places, with real people.
